Today Google announced it changed the name of what was formerly known as Google Business Photos to a new name that is more in line with the new Google Maps and better describes what we offer. The program is now called Google Maps Business View. The program is still the same and you still have to go through a trusted photographer to have your business added. We can help with getting your business on line and also with verification or your Google + Local Business Page. Contact us to learn more!

One of the latest tours we have published For Google Business Photos is for South Trail Crossing Barbershop. A place where men can get pampered! Like an old fashioned barber shop with modern tech where men can get a haircut and shave and do so while watching sports on TV. Walk ins welcome. The shop looks really great and they a complete line of men’s shave and hair products!

I had a little fun just before Halloween. One if our neighbours sets up a Haunted House in his garage every year to scare the kids (and parents) on Halloween. I was able to get in a few days before the big night to get some shots and decided to put together a virtual tour of the Haunted House. Lighting was difficult (black lights) but I was pleased with the results! You can visit the virtual tour here

This should work on most devices that support HTML 5 or Flash.

To see the full post including some of the stills I shot visit this link

This is an example of a non Google tour that I am offering. I am currently working on a few more that will showcase other options if you don’t want to do a Google Virtual Tour.

bubble signWe can across this tip from a fellow Trusted Photographer up in Edmonton today and it is really is a great idea! He encourages his clients to use signage while the tour is being shot to describe or point out certain features of the business.

In the example shown here the business, a St. Albert, Alberta hotel, is using the signage to promote the handicap suite they offer. Other spots on this tour point out the meeting rooms and the restaurant as well.

If you are interested in seeing the whole tour and the way the signage is used follow this link:

This is a great way of making the tour of your business just a little more interactive with prospective customers!
